Movement
Movement is part of the solution
Stopping moving “so as not to make it worse” is understandable, but it often feeds the cycle fear → avoidance → more sensitivity. The evidence indicates that pain education works better when combined with exercise and with an active approach.
Gradual progress
Increase the load a little at a time: a bit of discomfort doesn’t mean damage.
Consistency
Little and often beats a lot and rarely.
Confidence
The body is robust and adaptable, not fragile.
If you have severe or new pain, get assessed before starting a programme.
