Questions & myths about pain

Short, evidence-based answers. The questions come from you.

I have a herniated disc: should I stop training?

Not necessarily. Disc herniations and bulges are often found in people without pain too, and many improve over time. Gradual movement is generally recommended; a professional decides for your case.

My MRI looks bad, so will the pain stay?

Scans and pain intensity often don’t match. The clinical picture matters more than the report.

Does bad posture cause back pain?

There is no single “right” posture. Changing position and moving is more useful than chasing the perfect posture.

If it hurts, am I doing damage?

Not always. Pain is an alarm that can be more sensitive than necessary, especially when it persists.
